Area couple married in Exeter
The Christian Reformed Church, Exeter was the
setting for the autumn wedding of Andrew Hummel and
Joyce Leppington on Saturday, October 22.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hummel
of RRI-Clinton and the bride is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. John Leppington, Bayfield.
The double -ring ceremony was conducted by Rev. C.
Bishop and the organ music was provided by Mr. A.
DeHaan, Exeter,
The bride was escorted up the aisle •by her father
wearing a gown of chantilly lace in a graceful princess
line featuring a front panel of peau de soie and a chapel
train. Soft maribou fur followed the princess lines from
the shoulder to the hem of the full skirt. The gown
featured lace sleeves with maribou cuffs. The chapel
veil, a cloud of French illusion veiling, was held in place
by a dainty maribou cap. She carried a cascade of yellow
roses, bronze daisies, pheasant feathers and oak leaves.
The maid of honour, Linda Blake, London, a friend of
the bride, wore a gown of apricot polyester with an
empire waist and full skirt. The short jacket of rust
polyester featured a hood attractively edged in apricot
maribou. She carried a. nosegay of orange carnations,
rust daisies, yellow shaggy mums and oak leaves.
The bridesmaid's, Cathy Leppington and Mary Rath -
well of Hayfield, _.sisters ,..of..the-br-ide, -wore gowns iden-
tical to the maid of honor and carried nosegays to match.
The flowergirl was Bobbi -Jo Leppington of RR Varna,
niece of the bride. She wore a gown of white polyester
trimmed with maribou fur at the neckline and cuffs and
carried a wicker basket .similnr to the bridesmaids.

and the Federation of Women
Teachers of Ontario. The
events included workshops
which were chosen so that
teachers, by means of a visit,
could make plans for future
field trips and also become
more knowledgeable about
the county.

the Board of Education

The groomsman was John Hummel, of Goderich,
brother of the groom. The ushers were Walter Lep-
pington of Clinton, brother of the bride and Albert
Hummel of Holmesville, brother of the groom. The
ringbearer was Wayne Hummel of Owen Sound, a
nephew of the groom.
Following the wedding, a reception was held at the
Zurich Community Centre. The bride's mother wore a
gown of apricot polyester with a chiffon cape and a
corsage of deep orange roses. She was assisted by the
groom's mother who wore a rust gown and a corsage of
yellow roses.
After the reception, the couple left on a honeymoon trip
to Niagara Falls. They are now residing in Hensall.
Prior to her marriage, the bride was honored at
several showers given by Mrs. Marie Voisin of Varna,
Annie Baxter of Goderich and Mrs. Pam Scotchmer of
Hensall. A party was also held in honor of the bride and
groom at the home of Mr, and Mrs. John Hummel of
Goderich.
