in St. Marys
A pretty fall wedding ceremony united in marriage
Karen Lynn Mathers and Lewis Alexander McKay in St.
Marys on September 30.
The Reverend Chapman and the Reverend Jack
Thomson, past and present ministers of Brown's Church
at Brown's Corner, both assisted in the double ring
ceremony which was performed at the' newlyweds'
home.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.H.
Tideswell of Goderich and the groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. William F. McKay of R.R. 1 Lakeside, Ontario.
The bride worea champagne beige gown of silk
organza tiered from the neck to the floor. She.alSo wore a
matching broad brimmed hat of the same material. She
carried a bouquet of violets and pink carnations.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Darlene Tideswell of St.
Marys, sister-in-law of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was
Miss Jody McKay of R.R. 1 Lakeside, sister of the groom.
The bride's attendants were gowned alike in blue halter
top silk jersey dresses with capes to match. They carried
bouquets of sweetheart roses and petunias.
Groomsman was Mr. Jim Frayne of St. Marys, friend
of the groom. Laurie Hugill of London, nephew of the
bride was the usher.
Christopher David George Mathers and Kimberly Mae
Elaine Mathers, the bride's two children were
ringbearer and flower girl.
Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held
at the Legion Hall in St. Marys where the bride's and
groom's parents received their guests.
The bride's mother wore a blue crepe gown with sheer
sleeves and the groom's mother wore a white gown with
a pink and yellow flowered pattern. They wore corsages
of pink carnations.
For her wedding trip, the bride changed to a black
slack suit, with a corsage of white daisies.
Guests were present at the wedding from St.
Catharines, Stratford, London, Lakeside, St. Marys,
Goderich and points in between.

presented to John Westbrook
by his father Earl Westbrook.
Ruth Bushell sang When You
Come to the End of a Happy
Year.
Friends were present at the
meeting from Wingham,
Clifford, Brussels, Blyth,
Clinton, Mitchell, St. Marys,
Exeter, London and St.
Thomas.

moved up to the position of
the critic of the solicitor -
general's department. •
Other MPs named to the
cabinet were Elgin MP John
Wise, who remains the
agriculture critic, Oxford MP
Bruce Halliday, who will be in
charge on fitness and
amateur sport, and Bob
Holmes from Lambton-Kent
who will remain the
spokesman for Indian affairs.
