ployers and paid a small stipend through Fanshawe College.
The number of places is limited.

There may be an employer offering a training in a job you

that our famous Square and
its "wagon wheel"
sidestreets are going to get a
face lifting.
There doesn't seem to be
much actual "face lifting" to
be done to The Square itself,
since that excellent paint job
done a few years ago, but
some of the buildings on the
sidestreets DO need help.
East St. corner is now open.
Is there anything in our By -
Laws to prevent a modern -
design building being erected
on that site? The charm of the
fine old buildings should be
preserved. I hope someone
will make sure we do not spoil
it...again.
I rather like the thought of
brick sidewalks (well laid
down) for downtown but,
John, please don't copy East
London's changes and be
sorry about it later. It is then
too late.
What a nice thing to happen
on Thanksgiving Day -
SUNSHINE! Seems we will
just have to enjoy them as
they come along - and be
thankful! That is about all we
can do about the weather.
But, that weather station at
the airport seems like a good
buy - a must. Will we hear
more about it?
Once again people are
making the beautiful, colorful
quilts. Used now as bed-
spreads. The prices are sky
high so if you can get one on a
chance - to win them for a
small donation, you'd better
he right in them- donating.
At the Suncoast Mall last
week, some ladies of the
Bluewater Centre Volunteer
Association had a lovely quilt
on display. The pattern - Rose
of Sharon - in rose and white
was beautifully appliqued by
Alice Anstay. Such great
needlework Alice, I'm sure
you must be very proud of

in order for a hard working
lady well known in Goderich

the Township area. Mrs.

belonged to the Women's

her children but a pretty
faithfulworker at all times.
