Little goes a long way
in Vikings third victory
BY T.D.
The GDCI senior Vikings
recorded their third straight
Huron -Perth Conference
football victory in Stratford
last Thursday when they
blanked Stratford Central, 29-
0.
The Vikings, who have not
been scored on in their three
league games, scored one
touchdown in each quarter
against Stratford.
Experiencing some dif-
ficulty in moving the ball on
the ground in the first half,
the Vikings went to the air for
their first two touchdowns.
Jon Barz was on the
receiving end of a seven yard
pass from Mark Frayne in the
first quarter. Dennis Don-
nelly threw a 10 yard strike to
Tim Doherty for the Vikings'
second quarter major. Eric
Mitchell converted both of the
Viking touchdowns.
In the second half, the
Vikings got their ground
attack moving. Randy Little,
who had fumbled twice inside
the Stratford 10 yard line in
the first half, came on strong
in the second half, scoring
both Viking touchdowns,. He
scored on a three yard dive in
the third quarter and went
over fro. the seven yard line
in the final quarter. Little
finished the game with a total
of 152 yards rushing.
Mitchell kicked the convert
for the first of Little's touch-
downs, while Bill Walters
threw to Dennis Donnelly for
a two-point convert on the
second one.
The Viking defence again
proved to be extremely
strong against the run,
allowing Central only 23
yards, rushing in the entire
game. However they were
