Jim McWhinney rolled a 301 single and 761 triple to lead Little Bowl to a three game sweep of the Signal Stars. The Bowlers are now in first place along with the Recalls and Huromic while the Stars dipped to the league basement. Tom Flynn and George Vanderburgh shone for the Stars, Flynn with a 285 single and Vanderburgh with' a 722 triple. The Tail Ends won two games off French Dry Cleaners to move into second spot, one point off the lead. Tom Willis hit a `265 single to help the Ends while Lynn Hodgins caught a 604 triple. French dropped to sixth spot in the standings despite Kevin Rumig's 243 single and 642 triple. Augie's Dogies came one game from grabbing third spot instead giving up the position to the B.D.'s. The Dogies grabbed five from the B.D.'s to boost their season effort to nine while the B.D.'s are third best with an 11 point total. John Miller chipped in a 243 single and Augie Stegn- Rain postpones motocross 46 triple to help the Dugies. The B.D,'s got help from Eric Miller who managed a 241 single and 650 triple. The winners include Margaret Hill, Tom Fincher, John Brown, Margaret Conlon and Jim Costello. This marks only the second time in the five years of motocross racing that the promoters at Hully Gully have been forced to postpone an event. The rescheduled date will be this Thanksgiving Sunday October 9 at 12 noon with a full race card as well as the one hour (25 Lap) Endurance Race and a special Pee Wee division for the eight to eleven year olds. Sunny skies are expected for this Thanksgiving weekend and competitor and spectator alike are invited to make it a weekend of family fun and enjoy the colourful Huron County Autumn leaves as well as the Buffy's Motocross action at Nulty Gully.
