Metals and earned a first
place tie with the Metals by
taking five off them in Men's
Monday Night Bowling
league action. Little Bowl
also grabbed eshare of top

The Recalls went into
Monday night three points
back of first place Huromic
and took five off the Metals to
move into a tie. The Metals
salvaged a spot at the top by
winning one game and
coming out with two points.
Charlie Williams lead the
Recalls with a 266 single and
731 triple while Gerry Rivett._
topped the Metals' effort with
a 335 single and 862 triple.
Jim McWhinney rolled a
301 single and 761 triple to
lead Little Bowl to a three
game sweep of the Signal
Stars. The Bowlers are now in
first place along with the
Recalls and Huromic while
the Stars dipped to the league
basement. Tom Flynn and
George Vanderburgh shone
for the Stars, Flynn with a 285
single and Vanderburgh with'
a 722 triple.
The Tail Ends won two
games off French Dry
Cleaners to move into second
spot, one point off the lead.
Tom Willis hit a 265 single to
help the Ends while Lynn
Hodgins caught a 604 triple.
French dropped to sixth spot
in the standings despite Kevin
Rumig's 243 single and 642
triple.
Augie's Dogies came one
game from grabbing third
spot instead giving up the
position to the B.D.'s. The
Dogies grabbed five from the
B.D.'s to boost their season
effort to nine while the B.D.'s
are third best with an 11 point
total. John Miller chipped in a
Rain
postpones
motocross
-tad a 646 triple to help the
Dogies. The B.D.'s got help
from Eric Miller who
managed a 241 single and 650
triple.
243 single and Augie Stegn-
Heavy rain took its toll this
past weekend causing a
postponement of Buffy's
motocross at Hully Gully.
This marks only the second
time in the five years of
motocross racing that the
promoters at Hully Gully
have been forced to postpone
an event.
The rescheduled date will
be this Thanksgiving Sunday
October 9 at 12 noon with a
full race card as well as the
one hour (25 Lap) Endurance
Race and a special Pee Wee
division for the eight to eleven
year olds.
Sunny skies are expected
for this Thanksgiving
weekend and comktitor and
spectator alike are invited to
make it a weekend of family
fun and enjoy the colourful
Huron County Autumn leaves
as well as the Buffy's
Motocross action at Hully
Gully.

the Huron -Perth tennis championship held in Stratford. The
winners include Margaret Hill, Tom Fincher, John Brown,
Margaret Conlon and Jim Costello. Fincher and Brown
