Rick Sowerby went the distance for McGees and was touched for 10 hits, Simon Langlois gave up nine hits in the losses. Ziebart broke open a tie game in the third game of the series scoring four runs in their final at bat to force the fourth game. McGees took the early lead in the pitchers duel as John Phillips scored on an inside the park home run in the first inning. Ziebart was unable to get that run back until the fourth inning when Tom Love scored on an inside the park homer that was aided by a throwing error as in the case of Phillips run. Greg.Hansen scored the go- ahead run in the fifth inning after he singled and then scored on two throwing errors as he attempted to steal second base. McGees again tied the game in their half of . the sixth innings as Kelly r°t ached base on an error and then scored on Phillips double to deep left field. McGees were retired in the bottom of the seventh'but let Ziebart `off the hook in their final at bat as they struck for four runs with two out. The key blow in the inning was a bases loaded fly ball in the infield that eluded everybody and scored two runs. Tom Love then reached base on an error and Simon Langlois drove in two runs with a single. Langlois pitched a strong game for Ziebart limiting McGee to only five hits over the seven innings while fanning nine. Losing pitcher Ken Daer was touched for seven hits. Greg Hansen and Langlois were responsible for four of Ziebart's hits with two apiece. Hansen also scored two runs. Phillips led the McGee offence with two hits in three trips to the plate that included a double and a triple. He also scored one of their runs. The series resumes in Agriculture Park tonight and game time is 7:15 p.m. Langlois, one of the industrial league's top pit- fossed a neat five -hitter in championship game to keep Ziebart in the best of five series.
