Existence for many of us has
lost its meaning and vitality.
There isn't much "kick" left
in our lives. If we were really
honest, many of us would
admit that we eke out an
existence from one day to the
next not really caring about
getting the most out of life.
Some have given up! We have
waved goodbye to any hope of
fulfillment or happiness.
We all fight the tendency of
getting in a rut. Some of us
become content with our
miserable condition. Some
manage , to put a little ex-
citement back into their lives
on the weekend with a party
or family get-together. One or
two actually find the secret of
putting flesh and blood hack
on the dry hones and life
becomes meaningful and
challenging. What is their
secret?
. How. do I know there exists-.
these different kinds of
people? Have you walked
down a busy street and
noticed, those with glassy,
blank looks on their faces, or
fear or depression or worry
written across them? On that
same busy street you have
probably seen people who
were the opposite, relaxed,
cheerful, friendly with a
sense of peace, a sense of

direction, people really alive!
How do you put fleshand
blood back onto the bones?
How do /you really discover
LI FE!?iisten to the words of
a very wise person.
"The hand of the Lord was
upon me, and carried me out
in,the spirit of the Lord, and
set me down in the midst of
the valley which was full of
dry hones, And caused me to
pass by them: and I saw
Many in the open valley and
they were very dry. And he
said to me, Son of Man, can
these hones live? And I an-
swered, Lord you know.
Again he said to me, speak
to these bones and say to
them, hear the word of the
Lord. The Lord said to the
bones, "I will cause breath to
enter into you, and you shall
live: And I will lay sinews
upon you, and I will bring
•-f les h- upon. you,•.; and- you shall
live! You shall know that I
am the Lord,' (Ezekial 37:1-
6)
Jesus once said, "Man
cannot live by bread alone."
The bread represents
material possessions, things
like houses, cars, boats. If a
man cannot live by brea&
alone then what can he live
by? The verse continues, "but
by every word that comes out
of the mouth of God." What is
that word of life?
He said, "I am the Way, the
Truth, and the Life." He also
said, "The Truth shall make
you free." This is the word of
Godto you. Believe in Christ
as your Saviour and Lord,
and he will set you free, free
to become a living and
authentic human being. God
knows you will always be a
dry bone until he puts life
back in you. Only when you
give your life to Christ do you
