Congratulations to• the
Kingsbridge Girls' baseball
team, Dalton's Dollies who
won the championship of
their league_,'Wednesday,_.
August 31st saw the Kintail
Kuties and the Dalton's
Dollies meet in the Cham-
pionship baseball final. Both
teams were very closely
matched. Kingsbridge
(Da.bton's Dollies) had
finished the season in first
place and Kintail Kuties after
a poor start early in the
season made an excellent
comeback defeating their
competition in the playoffs.
The score was close
throughout the game. The.
first batter, Jean Vogt gave
the Dollies an impressive
start with a home run.
However, many other flies
were cangL,lt by the Kintail
outfield. Finally back to back
homers by Donna Frayne and
Donna Drennan swung things
in the Dollies' favor. The final
score was Dalton's Dollies 13,
Kintail Kuties 10. Winning
pitcher was Bonnie Bowler.
The girls would like to thank
their coaches Tom Sinnett
and Jim VanOsch. They
would also like to thank Mr.
and Mrs. Mike Dalton for the -
barbecue and the trophy they
so kindly donated. Thanks
also - - goes- to• the Vogts for
the refreshments they sup-
plied after the game at their
restaurant.
Sincere sympathy is ex-
tended to Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Boel and members of
their family on the death of
his father, Mr. Peter Boel.
Mrs. Clarice Dalton and
girls attended a bridal shower
in honour of Miss Beverly
