A three way tie for low
gross of the day made the
First Suns,,.t Ladies
Invitational Tournament an
exciting and successful day:
Nel Plomske from Rockway
Kitchener was the overall
winner defeating Janet
Dugan and Judie Hunter both
from Kincardine in i3„Stidden
death playoff. All three girls
shot an 83. Sheila Cameron
from the Wingham Club won
low net for the day with a 67
net. First flight winners were"
Janet Dugan and Betty
Walker from Wingham.
Second flight winders were
Shirley Baechler from Sunset
..P.hil.i.R.....from.
Stratford. Ellen Connelly and
Marj Smith both from Sunset
captured third flight. A
special thank you goes out
to all the girls who helped
make this such an eventful
day.

Maitland wins against Kinear

The Club should be very
proud of its young Maitland
Tennis Players who entered
the Maitland vs. Kincardine
tennis tournament held on
August 30 at the Maitland
Club. Kincardine's , WOWS"
were no match for the out-
standing Maitland juniors
- and intermediates.
The Maitland winners and
their scores are as follows:
women's singles, Marg
Conlin 6-1; Marg Hill 6-2; and
Eve Roberts 6-0; men's
singles, Tom Fincher 7-5;
John Brown 6-2; and Jim
Costello 6-0; women's
doubles, Marg Conlin and
Eve Roberts 6-1; men's
doubles, ,Tim Costello and
Ronon Conlin 6-3; and John
Brown a-nd Tom Fincher-6-2;
mixed •doubles, John Brown
and Marg Hill.
The kids finished up the
evening with pop and donuts.
There will be a men's
singles club, championship
held'on Saturday, September
17 at 10 a.m. Entries will be
accepted at the Pro Shop until
September 15. There is no age
limit for this tournament,
