White cotton eyelet trim edged the sleeveless bodice and portrait neckline. The bridesmaids, Mrs. Ernest Chambers, sister-in-law of the bride and Miss Margaret Royal, `Sister of the groom wore dresses of the same style as the matron of honor but in beige and apricot floral with the apron flounce and flounced hemline of plain apricot chiffon. All wore apricot picture hats. The groom and his attendants wore Tight colored summer suits to blend with the bridal attendants gowns. The groom, was attended by his brother, John W. Royal of Fergus. The guests were ushered in by Ernest Chambers of Pickering, brother of the bride and Donald Edward of Goderich. At the reception held in the Hublit Hotel, Chapleau; the bride's mother received guests wearing a full length chiffon over taffeta gown of deep rose with a matching jacket. The groom's mother assisted wearing a sky blue chiffon over taffeta with a chiffon shoulder and back panelled cape. The groom is a graduate of Wilfred Laurier University and the University of Ottawa. Bridge Scores Mary Donnelly and Eleanor Erskine topped the players at the August 9 meeting of the Goderich Bridge Club with a point total of 961/2. There were eight tables in play. In all, there were 60 present and all received a copy of 'Then and Now', a book of 'Remembers' of growing up on that farm before and during,World War One. It also contained a picture of the old house and several of Alexander and Ada and their family. Supper was -a barbecue and most of the family stayed for it. In fact, it was dark before the last guest left.
