The heavy rains of'the past
week have really greened up
the course - not conducive to
extra roll, but certainly
making fairway shots easier.
Congratulations to Sue
MacAdam of Sunset Golf and
Sports Centre, on her fine
showing at the Ontario
Ladies' Amateur Cham-
pionship held in Kingston this
past July. It is no small feat
to be up there in the first
twenty of this event in such
classy company as Marlene
Streit, Catby Sherk and all
the other fine golfers from
across the province of
Ontario. We hope this leads to
bigger and better things, Sue!
First flight winners for

That's pretty strong language
for any golfer to use!

oncept of the
g competition
originated with Trace Whalen
of Goderich who thought that
perhaps in • conjunction
Jubilee 3 events, the com-
mittee could pursue the idea
of a skydiving exhibition.
The concept, of an
exhibition possibly featuring
30 skydivers, has since in-
nocently mushroomed into
one of the biggest meets in
North America.
Promoter Randy Radigan
of Windsor explained that two
DC 3's and one twin beach
have been secured for the
jumpers and are capable of
holding up to 40 competitors
at one time.
Radigan who has been
affiliated with, several other
such competitions explained
the unusual 'enthusiasm that
exists for the Goderich event.
"The entries for the
competition have come from
Texas, California, Penn-
sylvannia, Indiana and other
parts of the United States and
Canada and we now have 450
entries." he said.. "The
skydivers are coming
because of the promotion
larger aircraft used and the
$3 price of dive which usually
runs as high as $8 and $10."
The show has been granted
a 12,500 foot clearance which
is unusual since normal
clearance is 10,000 feet.
The skydivers will be going.
from dusk to dawn for.three
days but Radigan insisted
that it would not be a boring
show for the spectator.
"There is going to be
enough jumping over the
throe days that it will not be
boring to the spectator." he
said, "There are going to b3
several world and Canadian
record attempts as well as a
group of notorious skydiving
teams."
The Skydivers will perform
freefall and team formation
work. Radigan believes that
several formation records
will be broken.
Some of the teams
Scheduled to appear are the
Midfits, Dirt Divers, Exit Us
and the Kalamazoo Rainbow
Flyers.
