' The city of Edmonton has recently constructed a beautiful new lawn bowling facility of 20 regulation rinks with plenty of comfortable seating arrangements en- compassing the 20 rinks. The Ontario Association was the first province to encourage young new bowlers, aimed at the age group 18 years and under, or over 18 but less than 5 years lawn bowling experience. Walter.Bell tied the game in the bottom of the sixth when he doubled Phil Turner in after Turner had singled. The Rustproofers got out of the inning when centre fielder Al Sygrove threw a frozen rope tb' the plate on Jim Harrison's single and caught Bell trying to score from second. Simon Langlois was the losing pitcher giving up nine hits and striking out 10 bat- ters. Jim Martin got the win giving up seven hits and fanning three. Pierson came over on Love's double, his thired hit of the game. Jim Ginn cracked a two out triple in the sixth for Gord's and scored their final run on Rick ° McLean's follow up single. Chip Wilson struck out to end the rally with Gord's going into the final inning down three runs. The Rust- proofers iced the win in the top of the final inning with a two run burst started by Ron Corriveau's lead off double. Corriveau came over on n , a single by Langlois and Langlois scored on Sygrove's single with two out.
