1 had been-. saving little
drawings, that were just
fabulous. that were in the
Signal some years ago on the
Editorial Page. These were
also a big improvement over
some of the cartoons that
were there at times.
This spring while visiting in
Windsor, I went to their new
"Windsor Art Gallery" and
found the beautiful work of
Charles William Jeffries was
being shown,,. His drawings.
watercolors and oil paintings
are so great it is a shame we
are unable to study and learn
from them.
I see by our new calendar of
the arts that this exhibit is at
the Art Gallery of Ontario in
Grange Park 'in Toronto, If
You have the, opportunity to
see it please do and let, me
know how you enjoyed it.
Those of you who have
taken in the good plays at
Blyth will have seen the work
of a -fine artist, our own Mona
Mulhern. If you have missed
it give yourself a treat .by
seeing the play too. Mona
works hard at her drawings -
and it shows. She needs to
know her work is recognized --
and appreciated.

legs and the runners for the
Art Gallery and others
needing a. hand during our big
Arts & Crafts Festival'..
I want to say how much I
appreciated their assistance
and say also that I,don't know
when I have met a finer. more
obliging AND more polite
group of young men. You
KNOW they have to he tops to
have made it to the Canadian
Scouting .Jubilee in .'Sum-
merside. P.E.I. and the
promise of a trip to IRAN in
two years' time.
So many of our scout
leadershave worked very
hard with youngsters for
many years and I think how
proud they must be of these
kids. I'm glad the • Scouting
and Girl Guides groups are
growing again. They are
certainly groups your
youngsters should • be en-
couraged to attend. Good luck
and God hless'all of them.
