Sherwood was at the
amity reunite
Women's Institute Hall,
Belgrave on Sunday, July 17,
19 • hosted by Mr. and Mrs.
Dan McInnes.
Mr. and Mrs. Gary Leslie Plewis
Wed in Bayfield
Sandra Lynn Cox. daughter of Mr. ane Mrs, Ray Cox of
Bayfield and Gary Leslie Plewis, son of Mrs. Pearl
Plewis and the late Leslie Plewis of Gravenhurst were
married on July 16 at Bayfield United Church.
The Rev, J. Reddoch officiated. Organist was Mrs.
Molly Cox and soloist was Mrs. Barbara Bosmen.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Debbie Vernutes of Halifax,
Bridemaids were Miss Sharon Brandon of Varna and
W Bonnie Coz and Mrs. Cheryl Cox of Westhill"
Groomsman was Brent Divell of Toronto. Ushers were
Brian Divell of Toronto, Claire Cox and Dave
Hemingway of Bayfield.
Folostwg the wedding. a reception was held at the
White Carnation in Holmesville. The couple left for a trip
to the Eastern United States and will be residing in
Agincourt. Ontario.
Bridge Scores
Fred Egener and Bill
Cochrane took top honors at
the July 19 meeting of the
Goderich Bridge Club with.a
point total of 63. There were
six tables in play.
Evelyn Galbraith and
Dawna Sproule finished
second with 60 i•.` points while
the team of Barb McLaughlin
and Sally Rewbotham were
thircr with 57-1.2 points. Verna
Worthy and Audrey Tobin
finished fourth with a point
total of 551..,.

After a bountiful noon
lunch, a short business
session followed. Chester
Finnigan and Mrs. Dan
McInnes were re-elected as
president' and secretary -
treasurer respectively.
Lunch committee for next
year is Mrs. Winnifred Girvin
and Mrs. Roderick McKenzie.
Mrs. Wm. McInnes and Linda
McInnes will be in charge of
sports.
A minute's silence was
observed in memory of
Melville Henry, Al Morrison
and. Ain. Alex. Watson Who
have passed away within the
last year.
Prizes were awarded for
contests and games which
were in the charge of Donald
and Allan Thornton. The
oldest person present was
Mrs. Maude Sherwood the
youngest person was Jennifer
Hutchison: Dan McInnes
guessed the, number of but4
tons in a jar: the family
coming 'the farthest was Mr.
and , Mrs. Roderick
McKenzie; the person with
the most buttons was Janet
Newfeld. The group then
moved outdoors for more
games, sports and visiting.
It was decided to hold .the
picnic in the same location
next year on the third Sunday
in. July with Lunch -at one
o'clock. ,.

St. James Middleton Church was the scene for, the
marriage of William Steenstra. son of Mary and Martin
Steenstra of R.R. 3 Clinton to Lynda, Pierson, daughter of
Isabel and Walter Pierson, RIR. 2 Goderich on June 18.
Matron of honor was Linda Malcolm of Bramalea. friend
of the bride. Flower girl yea's Janet Boyce, niece of the
bride of Goderich. Best man was Harry Greydanius of
R.R." 3 Bayfield, friend of the groom.. Usher was Wally
Pierson, of Goderich, brother of the bride. Ring bearer
was Patrick Lacey of Stratford, nephew of the bride.
Following the tremony there was a wedding dinner at
the White. Ca nation in Holmesville. The 'couple will
reside at R.R. 3 Clinton, Ontario.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Fred
Howson of Blyth and the'groom is the son of Mr. and•Mrs.
William L. Craig of Auburn.
Mrs. Sharee Bartliff of Clinton and Mr. Bill Sproul of
Auburn were, the bride's and -groom's attendants. Julie,
Sandra and Sherri Howson of Blyth and Christa
Crawford of Wingham, all nieces of the bride were
flowergirls.
John Koopmans of Auburn greeted the family and •

Following their honeymoon, Mr. artg Mrs. Craig will be`
making their home in Guelph.
