The weekend of July 29 to

unrepresented,. The Festival
is planning several per-
formances-i?ver the weekend,
including a play written
especially for the centennial,
an open house and a fund-
raising radio-a-thon.
The radio-a-thon, a first for
the theatre, has been
organized in an attempt to
cover this season's deficit
and to gather 'funds for
we vital exp-endittres, sucli
air-conditioning for the
theatre. Jim Swann of CKNX
Radio will host the event
throughout the day on
Saturday, ' July. 30.
Arrangements are not
finalized, but it is hoped that
entertainment, displays and
special guests will highlight
the day's activities.
Visitors to Blyth as well as
those native to the town will
be able to geta closer look at
the operations'of the theatre
-,that w.0eJe _ =tbursef-the
theatre are planned_ This will
be the perfect opportunity, for
patrons of the theatre ' to
discover how all those effects
they see on the stage are
accomplished.
And, of course, regular'
performances will continue

Memorial Hall. Five per-
formances are planned, in-
cluding hoth matinee and
evening performances of The
financial director for an
engineering group. She
brought greetings from her
own Sussex W.I. branch and
all members of England,
Wales and Scotland. Mem-
bership in a branch also
brings automatic .mem-
bership in Associated
Countrywomen of the World,
and one is part of eight
million women around the
world.
Mrs. Harvey Noblitt,
Ottawa, past President of
F.W.I.O. presented the
speaker with an engraved
sterling silver coffee spoon
and the Ontario W.I. Story.
Mrs. Racket -Pain will be in
Ontario for a three week
period, and many will have
the privilege of, meeting her
as she tours Northern and
Eastern parts of the province.
Greetings and
congratulations were ex-
tended by Mrs, E.V. Fulton,
Birtle, Manitoba, Area Vice
president for Canada, A.C.

Federated Wonten's Institute
of Canada. Soloist Mrs.
Marianne Trifunovich was
heard in several numbers and
her accompanist Mrs. Mary-
Lou,ise Vosburgh. Song
sessions were led by Mrs.
I-iugh' Baird, and Mrs.
William Stone, of the Central
Area (Toronto).
This happy occasion
brought together many
former members of the
F.W.I.O. Executive, past
presidents, secretaries,
others who could not attend
sent regrets and good wishes.
So another milestone of
Women's Institute history
will be recorded for posterity.
