Anderton, the new organist and leader, who re• cently arrived from Lisburn, Ire- land. The choir has beets augniente by several vocalists of talent an the rendering of the different num bers on Sabbath evening very pleas ingly, compelled the attention of th large congregation present. Thre anthems were sung by the choir viz.: "Rend Your Hearts," "Sen Out Thy Light," and "Glorious I Thy Name." Mrs. G. Williams san "The Better Land" in a manner tha was pleasing to the audience. quartette, "The Shepherd of Souls was sung by Miss Snell, Miss Pa sons, W. D. Sanders and S. Marti, The service was particularly a M thers' Day service and the playing o "The Dead March in Saul" by Pro Anderton in honor of the departet mothers gripped the audience wit intense feeling. The opening volun taries and the collection voluntar, by the organist were expressivel brought out. The, new leader ha made a good impression on th music lovers of Exeter. The pastor, Rev. M. J. Wilson took for his subject: "Two Pegs i, Memory's Wardrohe." First-"Whh should we honor our mothers? an second -"How should we honor our mothers? Three garments were hung on the "why" peg. W. ,H, Alp, aged 53, died here last night. Deceased had been pastor k of the Presbyterian; Church, Granton, since July, 1916. He was formerly a4 Harwood and Sturgeon Falls'. Deceased is survived by his widow, !two sans, W. R. Alp, recent- ly graduated from Know College, and Herbert H. Alp, a fourth year stud- ent at the O.
