Approximately 135 guests
were served a hot beef and
ham dinner at the Edson
Legion allfollowed by an
open reception. Master of
ceremonies was the bride's
uncle, Mr. ,Maurice
L'Houreau. Head table guests
besides the wedding at-
tendants were the bride's
parents Mr, and Mrs. Emily
Michaud of Edson; the
groom's parents Mr. and
Mrs. Joe Courtney of
Dungannon; the bride's
maternal grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Marcel L'Heureux
of Jackfish Lake, Saskat-
chewan and her paternal
grandfather Mr. Paul
Michaud of Leoville,
Saskatchewan.

July 10 at noon at their new
trailer homey Pgptar Place
trailer court, Edson, Alberta.
Lunch and refreshments
were served. The young
couple are spending their
honeymoon in Ontario and
are at presently visiting with
his parents and family.
A large crowd attending the
reception for Mr. and Mrs.
Brian Courtney held 'at the
Saltford Valley Hall on
Friday evening, July 15.
Music for dancing was
supplied by Southern Com-
fort. Following the reception
dancing continued at the
home of. Mr. a,nd Mrs. Joe

by Russell and Nancy Swan
and Mr. Basil Hogan. Special

With this column the Goderich Arts Council hopes to
keep Goderich and district informed of any upcoming
events in which you may be interested.
First and foremost our own Arts Festival beginning
July 21. We are looking forward' to another beautiful
display of paintings and crafts.
London: The Regional Childrens Museum in the City.
Centre Mall are opening the Mark Twain Studio, showing
how Tom Sawyer, and Becky lived. The Museum is also
running special workshops for children including one on
the theatre July 29.
Apart from. the Stratford Summer Festival which is
continuing to be an outstanding success, the Shaw
Festival Summer Season is in full swing at Niagara -on -
the -Lake with productions of Thark, Man and Superman,
The Millionairess, Great Catherine and Widowers'.

Kitchener -Waterloo: The University of Waterloo Arts
Centre is.offering a wide program in Series 1977-78 with
music, theatre, ballet, as well as children's shows"

Village is holding quilting demonstrations.
If you are visiting Toronto the, Dragon of the East
exhibition at the Royal Ontario Museum ends August 31.•
It can be seen in Galle`r'y XVI, and the materials from the
collections of the Far Eastern Department include
dragons in bronze, jade, pottery, textiles and lacquer.
•, The Art Gallery of Ontario in Grange Parkis featuring
oils, watercolors and sketches by Charles William Jef-
freys as well as The Grange Through The Eyes Of The
Artist.
The McMichael Collection of Art in Kleinburg are
exhibiting original paintings from the F. Lansdowne
"Birds of the West Coast" collection as well as the
permanent c,Qllection of the Group of Seven, Tom
Thomson and contemporaries including Gagnon's
illustrations of Maria Chapdelaine; Native Indian and
Inuit sculpture and paintings.
Art Exhibitions will be part of the Blyth Summer
Festival and Barrie's Huronia Festival of Arts and
Crafts will be held July 30 to August 1.

Maurice Joseph Bowler in
Riverdale Hospital, Toronto
on Thursday, - July 7,
following a lengthy illness.
He was 59 years of age.
Before moving to Toronto in
1956, Mr. Bowler had lived at
Kintail. He was born in Ash-

service was conducted by the
