McLaren can build a story around .each person and object on his seven panel sketch. Every detail on the sketch symbolizes some aspect of Benmiller's history. It is a valuable piece of work both. artistically and historically. Serious thought should be given to the idea of making it intoia mural. Martha Rathburn appears weekly in The Signal -Star. Lake. The family are all in that, area all; the way to King'ston so Phyllis may have something to say • about THAT. Mabel's family were there - oh no, Frances and hubby Bill McLean didn't make it but were home - but that Fay- the pixie - was just •as vivacious as ever with hubby - Bob Goodwin - smiling in the background. Rena's Shirley, hubby and daughter I hadn't seen in ,years and a nice surprise was Vesta Schutz, Barb and Nancy and families. There were at least a hundred right there in that spot all enjoying the parade. Jack Westlake had booted it all the way from Sault St. Marie. He, too, looked great•I wish I could tell you about half the people I've met -but as with every one it was a wonderful time to meet Old friends. It has been very gratifying to every member of the Jubilee 3 Committee to see the crowds and the , ex- citement and feel the ' co operation of everyone in town behind them. I'm sure all of 1 Goderich enjoyed this celebration and appreciate all the many hours spent in planning and getting the show on the road by that ,great committee. So now we can relax and enjoy things at a slower pace. We have the rest of the year to talk about folks who were here to those who did not see them. So share your hap'p chit chats with others a Jubilee -3 will last the ful year. Today - July 14 the Goderich Township Recreation Committee have a Pot Luck Barbecue ready at Township• Lakeside Park a week later if it rains! The Rotary Club are still . with Martha asking , for books. Don't forget. The "Sally Ann" of Clinton Thrift Store • have a great sale for the rest of the month at I5 Rattenbury St. Clinton. • I'm sorry, I missed men- tioning that lovely spot The Stone House out behind Benmiller near Balls BridgeAgain it has been a onderful spot to take your friends for afternoon tea and I know there will be the most wonderful jams and jellies and homemade bread you have ever had.Call 524-7065 if you haven't been out. Where? Your local UIC office.What will you need? Proof of your identity. If you were born in Canada, you'll need a primary document like a hirth certificate or a baptismal certificate from Quebec. Naturalized Canadians need their citizenship certificates. If you're a landed immigrant you'll need your im- migration papers.Originals or certified copies are needed. You'll also-rree'd secondary identification. It can be something official with your ume:on it, like a driver's licence or a school,.i-eport card. Here photocopies are fine. You don't want these important documents lost or misplaced.That's why we ask you.. to go, in person, to your local UIC office.They'll ap- prove your documents on the spot, help you with your application and send it to Ottawa.You can take your documents home right away. You'll get your Social Insurance Number card in the mail. If you can't get to a UIC office you can go to a Canada Manpower Centre.Or you can mail your application direct to Ottawa. But you'll have to send original documents or certified copies. And if there are problems with your ap- plication or documents it's going to take long er to iron them out than it would face to face in a local office.
