Joy Vella from Nova Scotia Who is spending some time in Belmore: Miss Annie Baxter and Mr. Lawrence Baxter of Goderich called on Mrs. Minnie Jones 'and Mel on Monday. Visitors on, Tuesday were Miss Mae Davies and Mrs. --Gladys Wallis,. Clinton; Mr. and Mrs: ' Keith Tucker, Chicago; Mrs,. Mel Bell, Goderich and Mr'. and Mrs'. Norman Bell, Maureen and William of Thunder Bay. Mrs. Mel Bell is the former Winnie Marsh and is a niece of Mrs. Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Graham McNee and Mrs. Ross McNee visited Mr. Ross McNee in the infirmary at Huroonview on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jones and daughter Annette of Bedfordshire, England are spending a month's vacation with Mr. Jones' brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jones. Mrs. Jones Sr. who has been staying with Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Jones for the past few months, will return to England with her son Raymond and his family. AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY The regular monthly,. meeting of the Dungannon Agricultural Society was held _ on June . 22, the fourth Wed- nesday of the month. The new hydro installation has been approved and paid for and the Sgciety feels there is now adequate hydro power , for its needs. .. The fence was painted by volunteer, labour which was much appreciated. It is en- couraging to see public in- terest expressed in this way. Plans were discussed for a Slow Pitch Ball Tournament to be held the last weekend in July with 12 teams and 16 games scheduled. It will be in progress from the Friday night to Sunday evening. CHURCH NEWS The Induction Service for Rev. Clyde Westhaver was held in Nile—Church on Wednesday evening with, a gratifying attendance. Rev. Fleetam of Fordwich preached the sermon, Rev. Stan MacDonald of Lon- desboro introduced the visiting ministers -and Rev. Cecil Wittich of Blyth con- ducted- the Induction ceremony. Nile and Dungannon, choirs each contributed an anthem. A reception followed in the Sunday School room. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff McNeil introduced members of Nile congregation toRev: Clyde and Mrs. Westhaver and Miss Rose Westhaver and Mr. Bert McWhinney. introduced members of Dungannon congregation. A delicious smorgasbord lunch was served by the ladies of Nile UCWMr. Cliff McNeil as chairman called on Warden Doug McNeil, Reeve Warren Zinn of Ashfield and Reeve Bob Lyons of West Wawanosh to say a few words of greeting. Rev. St. John of Auburn also spoke 'briefly welcoming Rev. Westhaver. Rev.
