Fire. partially destroyed the xoof of Mr. Charles Isaac's .residence on the 3rd concession of Stephen on Thurs- day afternoon. The chimney got on fire but was watched carefully, and burned itself 'oot after a short time. Mr. Isaac went to work n the back fields. end Mrs. Isaac went to Cen- tralia. An hour or two eater aneigh- bor noticed the roof icn fiire, and it was soon extinguished, but not before a large hole. had theca burned through the roof.
