He directed in his will. Lots
27 and 70, his block on the
Square, ,also Lots 1033 and
102, on the harbor flats "to be
sold, but be rented and kept
insured, the proceeds to be
(invested as per directions.
The quay lots. of course,
constituted the shore end of
the schooner Mary. Ann's
-corgi mbrce.
Notwithstanding these
instructions. /he uptown
properties were sold about
two months after Crabb died--
whether by decision of the
executors or the legatees is a
matter of sPeculation. It is
worth noting that the,name of
William Lee does not appear.
There were three deeds
conveying the Crabb Block to
Robert McLean, cattle buyer.
One was signed by Charles E.
Crabb, of West Bay City:
Michigan. and dated there
Dec. 21, 1893. The others,
made out'in the office 6f
Cameron, Holt & Holmes
Dec. 18. and witnessed by
Dudley. Holmes, were .signed
by M.0 Cameron, Janet E.
Crabb (testator's widow)
Drank B. Crabb, George F.
and Elizabeth.
