Your kindness will always be remembered.—Mervin Good. -26 Church groups hold joint meeting Knox Church Arthur Circle, W.M.S. Afternoon Auxiliary, and Jubilee 3 group organizations of Knox Church joined in their June meeting in Knox Church basement on Monday evening, June 20. The meeting opened with all joining in singing the Grace, after which all did justice to a delicious smorgasbord pot luck dinner. After the meal everyone introduced themselves and joined in singing the Well known hymn The Lord's My Shepherd. President of the Arthur Circle,, Mrs. Glenda Salter, made the an- nouncements pertaining to their organization and Mrs. Clayton Edward, President of the W.M.S made an- nouncements about the Afternoon Auxiliary. A letter of thanks from Mrs. Grace Cameron was read. Marie Bolton 'sang two songs, Pass it On and Green Green Grass oT Home, ac= companying herself on the guitar. The Devotions were taken by two W.M.S. mem- bers. Mrs. Jean Croft displayed a copy painted by Mrs. Beryl Harper, of the beautiful painting. "Praying Hands" and told the story that prompted the original painting. Mrs. Ann Livingston gave the scripture suitable to this subject and read a splendid poem she composed on Hands that Serve climaxed by prayer. While the offering was received, Hymn The Church is One Foundation was sung and then the offering was dedicated by Mrs. Salter. Mrs. Dorothy Reed in- troduced the guest speaker, Mary Jane Bisset who is no stranger and who gave a very interesting resume of the studies at Ewart College (Deaconess Training Home) and a glimpse of what her work will be this summer as Dav Camp Director at Huron Feathers Mission, Sauble - beach. It is very interesting to note that in September she will be on staff with two of the Presbyterian Churches in the Sarnia district, Mrs. Ron McCallum thanked Mary Jane for her talk and she was presented with a gift from the organizations present. - Marie B,o:ton then delighted the ladies with two more lovely songs, Back Home Again and Amazing Grace and Mrs. Salter thanked Marie and presented her with a gift.
