At the Sunset, our celebrations began with the Jubilee 3 Golf Tournament held yesterday. We also have' Happy Hour from 4 pm until 13 pm, evgr t; ie r week, so Wing 'all your Old friends and your new on,s, out to tlicr Sunset, and `;enjoy the atmosphere. Seeing that.it is the Holiday .W eekend iyou ;. can :also, :tabs.. advantage of the sunshine' and get in a game of golf. Sunset hosted, two tour- naments last week. One was the year end party for the Goderich ,Kinsmen Club ,and the other was a tournament for the Clinton Lion's. The Ladies' Brunch Was held on "Sunday, which also happened to be a Pin Day. Thanks to Helen, Connie and Ellen for taking care of the food. Five, ladies from Sun§et travelled to a tournament held in Wingham and came back prize winners. Congratulations to Adele Drennan, Evelyn Evers, Shirley Baechler, Sue Gar- diner and Sue'MacAdam. Bob' Cornish, Rod Johnston, Stan Profit, Ray Armstrong, Rennie Armstrong, Jerry Lassaline, and Cliff Kennedy were third flight winners. Interclub at ~Walkerton last Sunday produced only 131/2 points for the Goderich club, John Hanly having the best game of the local players. The Clinton Sluggers outslugged the Goderich club' 12-2 in Clinton in a regularly' scheduled game, in. Ladies Recreational softball ' Wed- nesday and then the Diamonds lost two exhibition games to Kilsyth and Kingsbridge recqrds victory Minor soccer' has been introduced to Kingsbridge. Kingsbridge girls, represented by students from St. Joseph's, shut out Kin- cardine girls' all star teai'n. Kingsbridge controlled the game in the first half of play leading on a goal by Jackie Van Osch. Debbie Austin, the captain, and Joanne Crawford directed the attack throughout the game. Jean Vogt, the goalie, kept her shutout intact throughout the second half even though Kincardine threatened to score several times. Kingsbridge came close to scoring their second goal but the ball was kicked off the line by 'a Kincardine defen- der. STOCK REDUCTION Linda Sinnett received an excellent pass from Jackie Dalton and scored the second and final goal of the game. l his was the Hest in a series of exhibition games for youth - in the Kingsbridge area. The Sluggers jumped on losing pitcher Diana Glousher for two runs in the first inning and then added four in the fourth and five in the fifth "inning for the victory... Goderich scored one'run in each the sixth and seventh inning, one being a home run by Linda Miller. The Diamonds lost their third game of the week dropping a 19-8 decision to Clavering in their second exhibition game. Marlene Black and Denise Mit- chelmore shared the pitching dut'es for Goderich.
