will stop long enough to sing

last song was written by one
of the teachers at Victoria
Public school and is sung to
the tune of East Side, West
Side.
After singing, the students

will return to the schoolby
Mitts ton and Victoria
Streets. They will *gather in
front. of the school for bir-
thday cake. A Conestoga
covered wagon on lohn from
the Huron County Pioneer
museum will be on display at
the school •

MR. AND MRS. PHILIP JAMES WILLITS
Kincardine home
Pink gladioli and white daisies decorated the First
Baptist Church on Friday, May 20 for the wedding of
Philip James Willits and Vicki Yvonne Chase. ,
The double ring ceremony took place at 6 p.m. and was
conducted by the Reverend W, H. McWhinnie.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Chase
of Goderich and the groom is the son, of Mr. and Mrs.
Philip Willits of West.Lorne.
The ' organist was Mr. Frank Bisset who played
selections prior to the ceremony and accompanied Mr.
and Mrs. Bill Chase, uncle and aunt of the bride, as they
sang 0 Perfect Love.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She
wore a white gown of 'matte silk featuring a semi man-
darin collar witha scoop neckline. The bodice had insets
Of lace with an empire waist. The skirt fell to a chapel
train. The close fitted sleeves had inset lace at the wrists
with bell cuffs. She wove a wide brimmed hat trimmed
with a large pale pink rose and three quarter length
veiling.
She carried a cascade bouquet of large and miniature
pink roses, white daisies, baby's breath and trailing ivy.
Maid of honor was Wendy Chase -of London, sister of
the bride. She wore a gown of pastel green polyester
swiss dot, featuring a V-neck with collar, inset waistband
• . and long sleeves with covered buttons at the wrist. She
wore a garland of tinted carnations, baby's breath and
daisies in her hair, which matched the nosegay she
carried.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Faye Rodrigus of Hamilton,
Miss Carol Chase of London and Mrs. Linda Morton of
Goderich. Their gowns were identical to the maid of
honor's gown in pastel shades of coral, blue and yellow
respectively. The gowns were all made by an aunt of the
bride. Mrs. Marj Moore.
Groomsman was Richard Lippold of Essex. Ushers
were Perry Willits of West Lorne, John Pederson of
Fingal, Tom Weiss of London and Paul Curle of Kin-
cardine. The groom and his attendants wore black
tuxedos. 6
Following the wedding, a reception was held at Salt -
ford Valley Hall. The bride's' mother greeted guests in a
pink floor length gown with a jacket of white lace. She
wore a pale green orchid.
The groom's mother wore a misty blue floor length
gown fashioned on classic fitted lines with a sheer
flowing over cape. She wore a white orchid.
For travelling, the bride changed to a red jumpSUit'
with matching tailored jacket and small straw hat •
trimmed with a matching red rose.
Prior to the wedding the bride was honored at showers
held by Mrs. Mari Moore and Mrs. Barb Gemmill for
relatives and neighbors in Goderich; Mrs. Jan Weiss for
friends in London; Mrs. Nancy Scott of London for the
O.R. staff of Victoria Hospital where the bride was
employed; Mrs. Linda Morton and bridesmaids for
friends in •Goderich; Mrs. Mary Lippold and Mrs. Jo
Anne Lippold for relatives and neighbors in West Lorne;
and Mrs. Barb Curle for friends in Kincardine.
Following the wedding rehearsal, the groom's parents -
entertained the wedding party at Kincardine.
Mr. and Mrs. Phil Willits are residing at 1057 Walkers
Circle in Kincardine.
