The Bowlers jumped to a short lived two run lead in the second when Dave Patterson singled and moved to third on a single by Rob Snell. Terry Powell forced a Pontiac error that allowed two runs to score before John Crawford popped up to end the inning. The Pontiacs came back in the bottom of the inning to tie the game. Russ Pruder and Ken Meriam singled and 1Wayne Doak stepped into two RBIs with a double. Paul Kelly provided the, winning touch in the fourth with a two run double. Pruder singled to lead off the inning and 'two errors left Meriam and John Phillips on base and Pruder at home Kelly slammed the double and gave the Pontiacs a 5-2 lead. Terry Powell scored the final Bowler run in the fifth but the Pontiacs held on to the. win. John Crawford took the loss giving up nine hits while „winner Rick Sowerby was tagged half a dozen times.
