Six champions were honored at the end of the day long competition divided into six categories. The senior boys' champ was Steve Frayne who won the 100 metre sprint, the 900 metre. race, the running long jump and the high jump. Michael Frayne captured top spot in three evenfs winning the 604 metre sprint and the 200 metre and the softball throw. Floyd Courtney was the winner of the triple jump for senior boys and Tom Foran the standing jump. Senior girls champ was Joanne Crawford who won the 60 metre,. 100 metre, 200 metre and 400 metre races and the running long jump. Astrid Plasschaert managed top honors in three events, the standing jutnp, the triple ...jump and the high jump. Darlene Austin won the softball throw. Bob Austin was named the intermediate boys champ after he won the 60,100 and 200 metre races and the running long jump. Dana Doherty was runner up grabbing the triple jump, softball throw and high jump. Patrick Foran Won the 900 metre and Tony Van Dyke the standing jump. Denise Connelly won the running long jump and the 60 metre sprint to win the.highly contested intermediate girls championship... Jackie Van Osch and Rose Marie O'Keefe each won two events to give Connelly a run for the honors. Ronnie Delbergue won the 60 metre and Freddie Durnin the running long jump. Christine Stapleton is the junior girls champ after -.winning the 60 metre, 100 metre, 200 metre, 400 metre; running long jump, standing jump and high jump. Vick Doherty won the triple jump and the softball throw.
