Robertson poets tell all
As a result of viewing a
Walt Disney film entitled
"Nature's Half Acre", Grade
6 students at Robertson
School produced the following
poems The students hope
that readers of the paper will
enjoy them.
Nature has birds, bees and
others
And they all tend to be
mothers
When the young groes- up
strong
They say good-bye or so.long
Although it may seem hard to
believe
That is the way it seems to be.
—Vick, Munroe
Red. orange, green and
brown.
See what the world has found
Rea utifutflowers and trees -'
Humming and singing bees
These nice and lovely things,
Nature has to give and bring.
—Valarie Zavitz
In Nature's half acre there
are sights to see
A bird. a spider or a busy bee,
There are sounds nice to the
ear
Like the hum of a bird is good
to hear
The bright green .leaves
dancingin the ,warm breeze
These re some of the things
that happen in nature.
—Kim Varty
Out there somewhere in the
breeze
Are quick buzzing bees.
Going in and out of trees.
And then I said to myself
Why did God do,the work
Just because he loves it all
And he never ever fails.
—Paul Tigert
The busy spider
Weaving its web
Creeps upon the innocent fly
The fly is wrapped up
In gooey -like guck,
That's nature at its wondrous
wotk.
—Jane Ferguson
Nature is plants, birds, in-
sects and flowers
All these things grown
through the days
God made nature in these
hours
But nature moves and grows
in different ways.
—Patti Reid
The butterfly flies the
woodpecker pecks
The parents feed their young
ones
The flowers express their
feeling of spring
The colours of animals are a
wide variety
And then nature's half acre
looks at rest. ,, .
—Paul Day
Spring begins with a sym-
phony
And flying around --is a•hoaey
bee
Out comes a tongue
Birds feeding their young.
—Cathie DeBolt.
•
As the birds all sing and
flowers cling
The water's flowing and the
plants are glowing
That's the nature thing.
—Darrin Moore
Black, green, yellow, blue
Beautiful butterflies
Orange ones too
Bright with colour
Up high in the skies`
But danger and death ,.
Always nearby
That's the way it is
In this land of beauty
Nature has to keep
balance.
—Sandi Irwin
Nature is life and its action
Flowers shouting to the sky.
Birds arising from their sleep
To life they left before
-Dwaine

The spider clings to its prey
And gave there a spray
The mud dauber kills the
spider
And hides it for your young.
