School News
The pupils will not be at-
tending school on May 23.
This is the 25th anniversary of
the reign of Queen Elizabeth
II. and her husband Prince
Phillip, On May 20 each pupil
will receive a medallion in
honour of this event. A
special program for the
pupils will be heldat the
school on this date and the
staff will attempt to involve
the pupils in, a meaningful
commemoration on this great
occasion.
It seems to us that the
development of the proper
attitudes of citizenship and
responsibility could be
considered as one way of
marking this important
anniversary. We hope to
encourage a sense of
responsibility among our
pupils by carrying out par-
ticular duties in and around
the school.
We hope that parents, too,
can look back at the last 25
years of Queen Elizabeth's
reign with some satisfaction
so that they can look forward
to the future with greater
faithand confidence. m
Starting time will be 8 p.m.
and admission is restricted to
those over 18 years of age.
