Oakridge is a talented team

this wasn't sufficient against

United. The game proceeded

"teeny" bit emotional...
we're not happy unless we're

about something... so I'm
permitted this show of love
and approval!
-You would have been
equally as awed and proud of
United's skill, ability and
complete trust in each other.
It's so terrific to see them
shine• with their old razzle-
dazzle (good thing everyone
wore sunglasses! !) It's
extremely difficult to choose
someone who, above all the
others, stands aut. Everyone
gave 150 percent... but I think
it's fair to say (and the team
will agree) that Rolf Gott-
schalk deserved to be named -
"Player -of -the -day". He not
only, was a tower of strength;
he was a towering tornado!
He travelled every inch of the
field, leaving devastation in
his w ,ke! (and that was only
his charm... you should have
seen him play soccer!!) He
detected every weak link in
Oakridge's chain of defense
and severed it so completely
they were left in a helpless
frenzy! !,This is one talented
fella!
The remaining players
each receive their own
special "Sly Fox' award
because each gave a unique
contribution to this game:
Clare Sager for his
unerring sense of timing,
quick mental reflexes and his
complete loyalty.
Rick Fisher - for stubborn
performance of his duty and
his "Macho" manner in the
"face" of conflict!
Dave Graf - for uncanny
perception of major plays and
quick -action in confronting
every situation.
Mike Klyn - for his subtle
ength and numerous in-
Iligent contributions
oughout the play.
Tony Mennen -0for his goal,
I his enthusiasm, 'for his

r Carl Moller - for beautifully
g executed saves and
1 goaltending far above the
norm.
Lee Arbour - for his
heerful unselfishness in the
line of duty; his strong,
protective measures, for all
the potential waiting to be let
loose!
Pete Teichert - for his goal,
for his steady checking,
amazing resilience and un-

I didn't get to Saturday's
