Tennis Tip No. 3
Choosing a newracquet? Before selecting, check the grip, strings
and frame of various products to compare quality.
Start with the general feel of the racquet overall, it must be com-
fortable in the hand. The fingers should fit snugly around the grip. If
possible, choose a leather grip since it absorbs moisture better than
vinyl.
For Goderich courts, try nylon stringing like Spiral blue, Hy -0 -
Sheep or Blue Star. Gut is expensive and prone to breaking.
If you prefer o metal frame be aware that its whip like action
produces a foster but less accurate shot than wood. Once you hove
chosen,.ask to use it under playing conditions. There is no better
test to determine the quality of your choice of racquet.
