that she fell a short while ago,
suffering a hairline fracture
in the pelvis. Her daughter,
Jean Knight, tells us that she

from assistant arena
manager Chuck Jewell, on
full utilization of the arena
during the day and at night
when there is no roller
skating or other functions:
Jewell suggested the for.
mation of a ball hockey
league for youngsters during
the summer in the day.
He said that there is a ball -
hockey association in Ontario
and he would investigate the
formalitiesof establishing a
league. He claimed that
several young hockey players
he spoke to were enthusiastic
to play ball hockey during the
summer months and that the
establishment of a league
would also provide revenue
for the arena.
Jewell also proposed that
tennis courts be set up on the
arena floor for play -as -you -
play tennis. The committee
discussed the possibility of
converting the arena floor
into tennis courts and- will
pursue the matter at the June
meeting.
