In Level 3 finals, Kirk Lyndon won the first game against Bob Fitz -James. Bob then bounced back just as he did in both the quarter -finals q and semi-finals to tie the series at one game apiece. Barry Page won the Level 4 semi-finaIs in two straight g; mes over Mark Jones. Barry advanced to the finals t>i t met up with .stiff opposition from Larry Gower. Larry Gbwer won the first game playing very strong chess.
