A. A. Trumper, in the way of lantern
slides, showing agriculture in practi-
cally all its branches. The slides were
clear and distinct, and were accom-
panied by a well-prepared lecture, in -
eluding a' very clear and comprehen-
sive explanation of each slide, which
spade the occasion exceedingly instruc-
tive as well as entertaining; At the
conclusion of the slides, duets were
rendered by Mr and Mrs. Edward
Welsh, Hiss Lila Sanders accompany-
ing them, which was appreciated by
all present. A. ,wish was extended to
them for their return .on, a similar oc-
casion, A hearty vote of thanks was
tendered Mr. Trumper forams kind in-
vitation and splendid entertainment, to
which he replied, expressing his sin-
ee-e approval of the good work The
U. F. C. are endeavoring to do for
the benefit of humanity, and from that
standpoint he ens ready and willing
to assist any organization with that ob-

A game of exhibition hockey was

Lueknow-Ripley and 'Exeter -Zurich
teams, the latter winning by a score
of 13-6. The attendance was not very
large, but the game was well worth
