planned by the executive of
the Goderich Sailing Club as
its kick-off event for the 19,77
soason. The evening will take -
the form of a gourmet dinner
and dance to be held at the
Maitland Country Club, April

According to Commodore
Robertson, the event fills a

in the community for summer
sailing 'instruction. and. a
chance for new members to
get to know the sailing club

this season.
Vice -Commodore for the
coming year is Doug Bundy,
who is once again organizing
the Community Sailing
Programme in conjunction
with the Recreation and
Com m unify Centre Board.
Last year instruction was
provided for about 75
youngsters and a similar
enrolment is anticipated. One
project under discussion is a

special regatta will be
sponsored by the GSC as its
contribution towards the
Town of Goderich
Sesquitentennial
Celebration. This will most
likely be held the July 1
weekend and invitations will
be extended to boaters from
Bayfield, Kincardine and
Port Elgin.
