This put Goderich into the
final against Mooretown who
had” earlier defeated
Goderich in OMHA playoffs,
however, it seemed the -
outcome was inevitable as
,Goderich was defeated 14-0.
Goderich played three games
in six hours. The first game
was at 10.45 and ended at
12:00. The boys undressed
and had 20 minutes for lunch
before getting dressed for
their second game at 1:30.
This game was over at 3:10
and at 3:20 they were forced
to play the final game with a
10 minute break against a
team who hada 2 hour rest.
After winning an extremely
hard second game the boys
hardly had enough energy left
to skate leaving there atquite
a disadvantage. Despite the
large score several opposing
coaches and spectators after
the game commented on the
effort and clean play despite
frustration and said that our
community was . well
represented and should be
proud.

lead at 6.21 of the first period
as Mike Hodges converted a
pass from teammates Jim
Costello and John Clement.

Trebish increased the margin

handed goal. Madge blocked
a shot at his own blue line,
broke -in unmolested on the

with a good fake. He had a
similar shorthanded op-
portunity in the third period
but failed to score.
Both teams played a
constant checking hard
hitting third period acid as a
result neither team scored.
Stephen Gallow who played in
net for the Steelers came up
with some great saves to help
lead his team to victory.
