And isn't that the trouble
with a lot of people who are
quick to pick out all the
negative things about the
Church of Jesus Christ but
won't take time to explore the
Good News.
We must admit there are
things within the Chrisj Win,.

are imperfect there always
will be. But there is so much
good, too!
` Whether our critics want to
admit it or not, hospitals,
schools, the abolishment of
slavery and many other
social reforms came into
being because of the in-
volvement of the Church.
Perhaps it didn't always
bringabout these changes in
the best or wisest manner,
but they did 'do' something
while others were content to
let things stay as they were.
There is still good news in
the Church. Thousands and
thousands of wretched lives
are being improved through
the work of the whole
Christian Community
throughout the world. Many
people continue to find love in
the church given in the name
of Jesus Christ.
Of course, the best news of
all is that God's saving grace
which changes lives and
makes them so im-
measurably better is for
everyone, no matter who or
what he is. One only has to
turn over the page to look for
it.

afternoon and enjoyed a
musical program, The
Huronview Orchestra played
several old tyme numbers
and led a sing -song of Irish
tunes. A vocal duet by Mrs. E. -
Hendersonand Mrs. Cox, and
one by Cecil Skinner and
Nelson Lear were ap-
preciated by the members
and also the assistance of the
Walkerburn volunteers. Tea
and cookies were served by
the ladies.
