Bluewater
'Canuck Carnival' a hit

Old man winter showed his
better side in whipping up a
mild, sunny Saturday com-
plete with a fresh sprinkling
of snow for Bluewater -Cen-
tre's Winter Carnival.
Preparations were well in
hand in the morning. The
auditorium was decorated
with snowmen, snowflakes
and arrays of multi -coloured
balloons which hung from the
sun -lit windows.
The kitchen staff were busy
fixing hearty fare for ap-
petites of outdoor enthusiasts.
Home made baked beans with
hot dogs and all the trim-
mings were on the menu.

marked with red flags, the
haywagon was readied for
rides and skidoos, with their
hitched on skibooses were
brought in ready and waiting_
The events began right on
schedule at 1:30p.m. with
MINNOW
residents warmly bundled up
all set to go, and eager to be
awarded ribbons for par-
ticipation in all activities.
