Electrics lose to Seaforth,
The Graham Electrics
were edged 4-3 by Seaforth on
Saturday, then came back on
Sunday with a 9-2 win over
Milverton in novice action.
In the Seaforth game, some
line juggling seemed to
confuse the Electrics which in
turn affected their skating
and checking. The Electrics
had many scoring chances
but only Dave Jewell was
able to turn the red light on,
notching a hat trick.
In Milverton, all lines were
re -united and everybody
seemed more comfortable
and it showed with their effort
on the ice. The line of Kevin
Talbot, Dave Telford and
Scott Garrow was hot as
Talbot and Garrow notched
two each and Telford one.
Each of the three also had
three assists. The line of
Dave Jewell, Todd Jeffrey
and Ron Chapman notched
three with Jewell doing the
hat trick for the second night
in a row and Jeffrey and
Chapman each picking up
assists. Defenceman Steve
Schutz had a single goal in the
scoring efforts.
The line of Kevin Telford,
Darcey McGee and Jeff Scott
came close a couple of times
that could have made the
score higher. The forwards
were greatly helped in the
offensive drives by defen-
cemen Schutz, Shawn Larder,
Daren Connelly and Kelly
Ailin as they broke .up
Milverton's drive and head -
manned the puck.
Goaltender Jay Williamson
made two key saves, in the
first period to help the
Electric's along. Goaltender
Shane Worsell who was hot•on
Saturday, played in the third
period for the Electrics.
