A PLACE FOR HIM
Lord, I keep thinking
about that young man who phoned
eager for the job
"I'm sorry it's already taken" I told him
"Oh" he sighed "thank you"
But in that sigh
there was so much disappointment
discouragement
,00 devastation
despair
I wanted to cry out
"Wait, it's a mistake
you can have the job"
I couldn't
because
it was
already taken
I could tell how badly he wanted the work
Work makes him feel like a man
makes him feel there's a place for him
But when he can't find a job
the world's saying
he's not needed
nothing to offer
his bright -flashing, success crazy,'
go -gorging society
He is bewildered and ashamed
because there is no place
for him
Oh God, pleasehelp him to hold on
help him to not give up on himself
help him to keep' his self respect
help him to find a place
that has not already
beentaken
And Lord, help us who stand and watch
to know what to say and do
for those who seek the jibs
that have already been taken.
BECAUSE I MUST
Lord,
I come
because
I cannot help myself
Like a moth
to a light
Like a pin
to a magnet
Like a river,
to an ocean
I come, Lord
because I must
Though omit
Though there are times
I want to avoid the Light
fight the Pull
Ignore the Flow
I can't
-So, Isome'
because
I must. °-

• The lack of storage space,
the severe draughts and the
general need for redecorating
were three of the areas
touched upon.
I'm guessing, but it appears
that the subscriber of this
article could be a Jehovah's
Witness whose denomination
as you know has changed its
•-name at least FOUR times
'4ince 1920.
The reference and
argument in the usage of the
name "Jehovah or jehovah"
in the stead of the Pronoun
changes nothing. One must
keep in mind that this name
"Yahwey" was most revered
to all the God-fearing folk of
Israel and is equally revered
by all christian Gentiles.
Jehovah in the Old
Testament is the covenant
God. God as revealed to
Israel,
The apostle Paul, a Jew
himself loved that title and
most of the- verses. in
Ephesians chapter 1 presents
a real reflection of both Jew
and Gentile as one united
redeemed community and
perhaps for this reason the
American Standard Version
uses this precious term which
I think is very aceeptable. '
There are three tneangful
titles: Jehovah-Jireh (Gen.
22:14) ie. "th LORD will
provide"; Jehovah-Nissi (Ex.
17:15) ie. "the LORD my
banner"; Jehovah -Shalom J
(Judges 6:24) ie. "the LORD
. send peace",

Rev. Leonard Warr,
Tiverton.

The film and activity room
received special con-
sideration. Mrs. Palmer
stated that if the Friends of
the Library were willing to
organiieOpainting bee, the
PropertyCommittee would
provide paint.
Carpeting and curtains
would greatly enhance this
room, and it was hoped that
these could somehow be
obtained.
Once freshened up, this
room could provide space for.
a small public art gallery.
The combination of art
gallery and activities room ,
might well prove a popular
idea with townsfolk.
On the subject of restoring
the third floor of the library,
Mrs. Palmer said that she has

engineer for a report_ on the
