Farm Credit
office moves
The Farm Credit Cor-
poration is moving its Ontario
Branch. Office from Toronto
to Guelph. FCC Chairman,
Baldur Kristjanson, ' an-
nounced today.
The new Guelph office will
open January 4, 1977.
Over r41 years ago the
Canadian Farm Loan Board,
the FCC's predecessor,
opened its first Toronto of-
fice. Toronto has been the site
of the head office for FCC
activities in Ontario since.
1959. In this office, all loans
are reviewed prior to ap-
proval and administered once
a loan is offered.
"In recent years', a
Toronto-based office has
madeit, increasingly difficult
for staff to communicate with
farmers and keep in touch
with farming practices,"
says Dr. Kristjanson. "As
well, many of our borrowers
found travelling to the
Toronto • office time-
consuming."
