The Oldtimers, fresh from .a 6-3 triumph in Kin- cardine recently, allowed their excitement to get the best of them and challenged the Intermediate D squad to a game. The Oldtimers , rules will, prevail ' for the match. The Merchants will be given the gate' for such misdemeanors as bodychecking and slap - shots; the former being the means by which the Old- timers hope to take ad ,vantage of the younger legs. The slightly aged stars have • adopted.a crisp, passing game due to the rules in their league that eliminates body centact. The passing attack and puck control will test the younger legs _ .of the Mer- chants who are in sixth place in their South Huron Hockey League; A dozen games into the season and the Merchants already have three players with 10 or more goals and two with half that many. Cam MacDonald leads his .club in goals with 15 followed by Paul Corriveau and Ron Whetstone with 10, each, and Jim Bell with six and Milt Place with five.
