Plans are progressing well for the celebration of Goderich's
150 birthday according to officials of the Jubilee Three
Committee. The committee held a dinner meeting at the
Bridge $core;
The 'November 23- meeting
of the Goderich Duplicate
Bridge .Club was ' annual
charity night and proceeds
from .the -evening went to the
Canadian Arthritic Society.
The competition ' for the
evening was splitinto twc
divisions and Joe Martinand
Jo Shrier topped the North-
South players with 1031/2
points. Evelyn Galbraith and
Dawna • Sproule grabbed
second place with 98. points
edging Frank Donnelly. and.
Ted Plante who finj hed with
95 points' Larry Sloan and
Sam Hassan were fourth with
90.
The East-West division was
won by Mary Donnelly and
Eleanor Erskine who totalled
104 points. Sandra Turvil and
Mary Phillips were second
with 981/2 while Barb Howe
and Marion Lane were third
with 89 and Fred Egener and
Bill Cochrane were fourth
with 861/2. -
