would like to see the
agricultural base maintained
in that plan," he said.
"Planning is difficult since it
is basically an idea and.
sometimes wewill just have-

political scene who made
known his intention to run
several months ages. He had

township school board.
Jewell stressed the im-
portance :of the secondary
plan and also the importance
of not rushing the plan. He
claimed he could work with
the plan but also hoped that
changes could be made when
necessary.
"I ' hope there • are
' safeguards in the -plan so that
it could be changed," he said.
"The plan will only be as good
as its ability to. adapt .to
changes as needed."`°
He added that the township
roads and machinery have
