Recrea►ioll 13'.udro Middleton At its last,regular monthly .meeting, Goderich township recreation ' committee ap- pointed •Gerry 'Ginn and his own committee to set up the rules and regulations re a township crest contest this fall. • To properly . launch the • contest the whole township council will address the student . body of the Holmest'i11e School' this week" to •make them fully aware of who what and how the council works. . . Importantly '"Tough, the secretary Robin Thompson will show the students the methods and procedures used in an election. Each• of the council members will talk briefly_ on some facet of township government. Hopefully, this will trigger the Children's inspirations to design some thought- provoking township hought-provokingtownship crests.. , The rules of the .,,crest contest areas follows: -Any township resident may enter. • •Entries should he in colour. Entries are to be submitted on 9" x 12"•sized paper. Contestants may enter as many designs -as they wish. But -no contestant shall be eligible for more than one prize. • • Prizes to be awarded in two groupings A.. 14 years of age. and under and B. over 14. The rec. committee told -the township council that $15 from all out of town residents • was due, butif the township ,• and the rec: committee cduld come • to some ''-sort of. agreement about a township grant, then the $15 would be refunded to the residents, ' .
