At present Dr. Grenfell, assisted
by Dr. Petition, and the secretary, are
engaged in the task of raising one
and one half million dollars to be
invested in securities 111 the United
States and Canada, The interest

used in connection with his work. In
this manner a permanent fund will
be available, and thereby make it
possible for Dr. Grenfell to devote
more of his time to his people instead
of having to spend so much tune in
raising funds to carry on the work.
It was on behalf of this fund that Dr.
Grenfell recently visited Ottawa,
where he received many generous
subscriptions.
