He bought a brand new one and since then has been. fishing and hunting the same as he did before the accident. He used :his :machine recently to take advantage of the.: trout spawning season _and caught the second biggest,. fish of his life, a 37 inch, 20 pound, three' ounce rainbow trout, He hooked the fish using an alligator Jure and foughlandint g itit. for two hours before "I was in the river near the Highway '21 bridge' when I hooked it and it towed .me downstream about a quarter, of a mile before giving up," said Ed holding his catch. "I think Ii ll stuff it rather than eat it." ti. His success as a fisherman helps hirn in his mental fight against his handicap. He claims his accident didn't limit his lifestyle but con- cedes that when he goes to -a party or night club and sees people, dancing he gets depressed. "But dancing isn't really important," he adds quickly.
