zfer ran 10 yards for the
touchdown, which 1

augmented by a two point
conversion -pass caught by
Charlie McDowell. -
Up until that point, the
Vikings held. the lead in the
exciting contest. Eric- Mit-
chell scored a single point on
theopening kick-off and then
kicked a 10 yard field goal
later in the first quarter.
In the third quarter, Mit-
chell booted another single on
a wide field goal attempt
from the Norwell 25 yard line.
The Vikings played on even
terms with the league leaders.
