The GDCI senior Vikings welcomed the Norwell Redmen, almerston on their first visit to Goderich since joining the Huron -Perth Conference with an _ inhospitable 50-0 thumping last Thursday. • The Redmen were 'previously undefeated in two starts: The victory gives. the Vikings a record of three wins and one loss, and moved them 4 into a share of first place with `the Exeter South Huron Panthers who have won their. first three games. Quarterback 'Bill Walters go./ the Vikings off on the right foot, scoring the first two touchdowns on -elle and twoyard dive plays in the second quarter. The 'Vikings added three more touchdowns in the third quarter, with the defensive team accounting for two of them. Ben Worsell's recovery of a blocked punt, and Keith„ McLellan's pass interception and 50 yard run for a touch- down; were the defense's contribution. The other third ;quarter major came on a three yard• sweei5 by Bernie Van Osch... Lee. Arbour's 20 yard off - tackle run and Jon Barz's reception of a seven yard pass from Mark Frayne gave the Vikings two more touch- downs in the fourth quarter. Steve Chase kicked six converts for the Vikings and a pass from Bill- Walters to Jon _Bart gave the Vikings another two point conversion. The 'coach of the Vikings, Ray Donnelly summed up -his team's performance as "a total team effort, offensively and defensively."
