' /Fans, you' can't imagine, how, fantastic last Sunday's game -vas... =--:united pulled out all- he stops and gave 'et' e e4 _rvthing theleliad andithen; some! We played Ingersoll Flyers and • if ' anyone was flyin' we were r The score was, a mere 7-1,for Goderich. I surely do hope that we stay on the tracks like this for ' our last two games of .the season. It would be a great way to end the 'soccer year, g huh? • Anyhow., back to the game - -- United was infine form as You could very well see as sgon as' they began:the. play. Th-ey'pounced on every move Ingersoll made.- They: were offensive instead of defensive --- which is ,a switch for. Goderich, •we usually aren'.t an offensive team. (Anytime - we do offend-- it's for a good reason!!). Well, Ingersoll didn't seem to like us to be so terrific so they manoeuvredy the play around and Scored the initial goal of the day. Humph! some fat nerve!'They would soon be sorry° for ' that • act': of aggression. •- • Short•i-y following- .this only point : for the opposition, we connected�on a beautiful play - and Pete Backx sent the first retaliatory goal reeling info' the net. That'd show 'em! The teams began 'really testing each other's mettle and durability in. earnest and the h me was on!
